I arrived at Hogarth's Hotel in Solihull where Helen and her bridal party were having their hair done in the room. The girls were all relaxed and excited - the only concern was the weather. Helen had her heart set on getting married outside at Hogarth's as the grounds are stunning and they have a covered area where you can get married. The rain was coming down but only that horrible fine rain that makes your hair go frizzy.
The bridesmaids were wearing bright coral dresses so we decided to go with bronze and browns with big glam lashes and a soft coral lipstick.
Dawn, Helen's mum doesn't really wear much make up, but I did say being mother of the bride she should also look her best, so I managed to persuade her to trust me and let me do what I do best. We used soft shimmery golds with natural strip lashes and peach blusher with a mauve lipstick which really did give her a glam look for her daughter's wedding and Dawn loved it.
Last but not least there was Helen the bride. Still considering getting married outside, Helen wanted something really special. On her trial previously we realised she couldn't have strip lashes as Helen loves to blink a lot. So we used individual lashes which gave her the fullness and length but with the added bonus of lasting over the next few days. We used golds and bronzes with shimmery highlighters. We went for shimmery peach cheeks which gave her a lovely healthy sheen on and a crystal pink lipstick, giving her enough colour for her pictures. Beautiful!
Once the make up was almost completed her wedding co ordinator arrived to see what the plan was with regards to getting married. Helen was comforted by being told they had previous weddings in the snow before now, so a bit of rain wasn't going to be an issue! Helen chose to go ahead with what she wanted and got married in the gardens.
Helen wore a stunning lace dress with crystal and diamante detail. The lights made it so sparkly!
A perfect wedding morning with the Perfect Make Up.
